PantryPixie Privacy Policy

Account information: Your name and email address, provided when you register or are invited to the App. Your account may also store role and subscription status.

Content you create: Recipes, meal plans, pantry items, shopping lists, dietary preferences, allergies, and notes you add. You control which family members and friends you share each item with.

Connections: Email addresses of family members and friends you invite so we can link your shared recipes, meal plans, pantry items, and shopping lists.

Usage data: Anonymous analytics such as which features are used, to help us improve the App. We do not sell your information.

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalize your recipes, meal plans, pantry tracking, and shopping lists.
• Power AI features such as recipe import, recipe suggestions, meal-plan assistance, and the Kitchen Chef assistant.
• Share content with the family members and friends you choose, and accept incoming sharing requests.
• Process subscription payments and manage your Premium plan.
• Send service-related notifications and respond to support requests.
• Maintain and improve the App's performance and security.

PantryPixie uses AI to extract recipes from links or images, suggest recipes, help plan meals, and answer cooking questions in the Kitchen Chef assistant. When you use these features, the relevant content (for example, a URL, image, recipe text, or your dietary preferences) is sent to an AI model to generate a response. We avoid sending more than is needed for the request. AI responses may be inaccurate; always use your judgment, especially regarding allergens and food safety.

Within the App: You choose who you share your recipes, meal plans, pantry items, and shopping lists with. Sharing is limited to the family members and friends you explicitly invite and who accept your request.

Service providers: We use trusted providers to operate the App, including the Base44 platform (hosting and data storage), a payment processor (Stripe) for subscriptions, and AI model providers for the AI features described above. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and under their own applicable terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PantryPixie, our users, or others.

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Payment card data is handled directly by Stripe; PantryPixie does not store your full card number. We retain subscription status and billing identifiers to manage your plan. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the Premium page at any time.

Your data is stored securely on the Base44 platform. Access to your records is restricted by your account and by the sharing permissions you set. While we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

You can view and edit your recipes, meal plans, pantry items, preferences, and sharing relationships at any time within the App. You can remove a family member or friend to revoke sharing. You can delete individual items, or delete your entire account and all associated data from the Profile page — this action is permanent and cannot be undone.

PantryPixie is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact Base44 support so we can delete it.

The App may contain links to external websites (for example, imported recipe sources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated within the App where practical.
